Imaginary Play

Roslyn walks into my bedroom with a purse on her shoulder and says, "I home!"
Me: "Welcome home!"
Roslyn: "Howoyou?" As she shakes my hand.
Me: "How are you?"
Roslyn: "I good. I Mark! You Chris!" (Mark & Chris are characters on the show Wild Kratts)
Me: "ok! Hi, Mark!"
Roslyn: smiles then gasps and jumps back "I see lion! Scared!"
Eventually the lion left.
Roslyn: "ent!" (Translation: elephant)
Me: "cool! Are you gonna go ride the elephant?"
Roslyn nods and sits on the elephant.

Drawing

Roslyn scribbles on paper, holds it up for me to see with a proud look on her face.
Me: "What did you draw?"
Roslyn: "Prettttyyy! Cue!!" (Translation: Pretty. Cute.)

Who cares what it is! As long as it's pretty and cute!

Playing Catch

Roslyn: "Frow it to me."
Maylene throws ball in Roslyn's direction.
Roslyn: "Goojob!"
Roslyn throws ball in Maylene's direction.
Roslyn: "Catch it!"

Roslyn & Maylene

Gigi (The girls' great grandmother): "MayRae, do you want to go potty?"
Maylene Rae (Cousin 5 months younger than Roslyn): "No!"
Roslyn: "I go potty!"
Maylene: " NO! I go potty!!"
Roslyn (with a smile knowing it's making MayRae mad): "I go!"
Maylene (very distraught & chasing after Roslyn): "NOOOO!!!!! I GO!!!!!"
